Centenary of the Passing of Abdul-Baha

October 26 2019 we joined Baha'is throughout the world in commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Birth of the Bab,the prophet of the Babi Faith and the herald of Baha’u’llah’s subsequent revelation - the Baha'i Faith.

The program here in North Dumfries included "artistic expressions" from around the world, remarks about the significance of this event, musical presentations, information displays, and refreshments.

Who is the Báb?

The Báb, whose title means “the Gate,” was a Messenger of God who called for the spiritual and moral regeneration of all of humanity. His mission was to prepare the way for the coming of yet another Messenger of God who would usher in a new era of peace promised in all the world religions. Bahá’ís recognize this latter Manifestation to be Bahá’u’lláh.
